How does MyIVO safeguard the communication?
MyIVO uses SSL for network security, the same security technology that has been used for today's e-commerce. All communications are encrypted using 168-bit 3DES from end to end. The encryption key is unique for each connection and is based on a random bit sequence. For this reason, it is impossible, even with the most sophisticated devices, to intercept the data necessary to decode the encryption. Transmissions cannot be hacked or compromised in any way.

How does MyIVO provide enhanced authentication?

Multiple passwords: MyIVO requires multiple levels of authentication, during MyIVO secure Web site access as well as during host computer access.
Client and server authentication: Even on the secure encrypted connection, MyIVO enforces client and server authenticate with a challenge/response mechanism using a MD5/SH1 methodology during host computer access. So password information (host computer access code) is never sent out directly.

How does MyIVO provide enhanced access control?
MyIVO deploys enhanced security measures to protect access to computers running MyIVO.

Signed code using digital signature: To protect against unauthorized code download and system resource access, MyIVO requires the use of signed Java Applet by renowned Certificate Authorities.
Limited Invitation Period: You can invite trusted parties to share your computer screen by sending an email invitation that is valid only for a specified period of time. The email contains a special link that the guest can use to access your computer. If the guest does not activate the link within the allowable time, the link will become inactive.
View-Only Invitation Option: You have the option to allow guests to view your screen but do not have full control.
Real-time session management: You have the option to view or terminate any guest sessions in real-time.

How do you safeguard the privacy of my data?
We have a strong privacy policy and will not disclose any of your MyIVO account information to third parties. And although your data transmission may go through MyIVO routing service, all data is fully encrypted the entire time. We do not store or have access to this data. Therefore, all data transmitted is completely private. Even if an unauthorized party were to gain access to machines hosting MyIVO routing service, the data for individual connections could not be accessed or compromised.

How does MyIVO security compare with other solutions?

VPNs: MyIVO is more secure than a VPN because a VPN effectively takes an external machine, which has not been protected in the same manner as machines on the internal LAN, and allows it the same privileges as internal LAN machines. With MyIVO it is irrelevant if the remote machine is infected with a virus or has other security problems because it is never made part of the internal network. The sole function of the remote machine is to provide a secure channel to view and control the computer residing on the internal LAN.
Other Remote Control Software: While it is possible to combine traditional remote control products with strong security, it takes a lot of know-how and time to set up a system appropriately and make it work through a firewall. Many remote control software options do not have built-in security features. With MyIVO, you will not have to deal with any difficult and tiresome setup procedures.
